Our goal is to take the stress and hassle off of managing your second home. Vacation starts the day you arrive.

Owning a second home isn’t just a monetary commitment, it’s a time commitment too. You want the peace of mind, while you’re away, that your home is being maintained, protected, and improved at your request.

A few years ago, we began receiving complaints from family and friends regarding their vacation homes. Often, they arrived to repairs and maintenance necessities. Their vacations were cut a day or two short due to managing these home repairs, grocery shopping, seasonal maintenance, and all of the requirements of typical home upkeep. Over time, they simply considered it a fact of life. In order to compensate, they began taking more time off work in order to complete these tasks. Their vacations started a few days after they arrived. Growing tired of their situation, and one party actually selling their vacation home in Palm Desert, CA, we had identified a problem that required a solution.

We understand – your goals are to protect and improve your asset. That’s our job, as well as providing concierge services that allow you to begin your vacation when you arrive at your vacation home. With over 14 years of experience managing vacation homes, we have the knowledge, care, and client success skills to provide a world-class experience for you and your guests.

Need repairs completed? A new pergola built on the property? A full kitchen remodel? We’re here to help you by connecting you with vetted vendors, managing the project on your behalf, and providing entry to the professionals performing the work. We will gather quotes/estimates for your requests and allow you to make the decisions on whether or not you want to move forward.

We pride ourselves on transparent billing. Our service markups will always be presented as their own line item on every invoice. If you ever have questions, don’t hesitate to ask us!

After 14 years of experience in the vacation home industry, Second Base has established relationships with the very best vendors in Central Oregon. From alarm systems to winterization, we have a book of business that spans the gamut of maintenance, repairs, and improvements. 

Second Base offers a wide range of services outside of weekly or bi-weekly inspections. As a client, you gain access to 100% of our services. Use as much or as little as you desire – you only pay for what you use and all services will be verified by you prior to performance.

We understand and adhere to all city ordinances on your behalf. If you live in an area or neighborhood that has a Homeowners Association (HOA), we will ensure compliance with their specific rules as well. We’re the experts, so you don’t have to be!

Protecting your home is our top priority. We understand that being away can leave you feeling helpless or insecure at times, but that’s where we come in. You can rest assured knowing that we are available 24/7/365 to answer your calls and check on your property. We’re always here, so you don’t always have to be.

One of our three values is ‘Proactive’. What that means to us especially applies to damage prevention. Our inspectors are trained to identify issues before they happen, allowing you to take steps to prevent damage. We will identify issues, bring them to your attention, and recommend fixes/repairs. If you choose to move forward with those repairs, we provide quotes/estimates in advance giving you complete control over the process. Nothing moves forward without your consent.

We want you to arrive to a clean house every time you visit. With Second Base, you will have access to thorough, experienced, and detail-oriented housekeepers who have a history of working with us. We’re on a first-name basis – in fact, we use them ourselves because they’re the best. We’re happy to schedule departure cleans in advance, or on a per request basis to ensure your home is always perfect when you arrive.
